Southern Trust Insurance Co. to Implement SIMS Claims

Insurer expects the new commercial lines system to streamline operations, enhance workflow and provide agents with a greater ease of doing business.

Southern Trust Insurance Company, a personal and commercial insurer, has selected SIMS Claims from Systema Software as its new claims management system for its commercial lines of business.

“We pride ourselves in timely and fair claim settlements,” said John Houser, CEO of Southern Trust. “Toward this endeavor, we strive to utilize technology that can enhance our efficiency and customer service. To do this effectively in the future, we needed to replace our legacy system with a modern platform that was flexible and configurable to our business needs.”

After a nine-month selection process that involved 12 software vendors, Southern Trust selected SIMS Claims for its specific features and functions. According to Eric Russett, VP of underwriting at Southern Trust, a key benefit is it will easily integrate with its other solutions, including a new policy administration system, our accounting software, and document management. “Seamless integration will enable our company to streamline operations, enhance workflow, and provide our independent agents with a greater ease of doing business with our company,” he said.
