XL Group Adds to Marine Insurance Underwriting Team

Pete Shepeck, Brian Stockton and Jeannine Liebig join effort to grow regional office in Chicago.

The Marine insurance operations of XL Group plc have expanded regional underwriting capabilities with the additions of Pete Shepeck, Brian Stockton and Jeannine Liebig to the company’s Chicago office.

By expanding our regional underwriting resources with skilled, knowledgeable team additions like Pete, Brian and Jeannine and continuing to add market-leading products to our portfolio, we'll be the best marine solution for our brokers and agents, not only in the Midwest, but throughout North America."

Shepeck will be regional VP, North America Marine. Most recently he worked for Alterra Insurance. During his 35-year career in marine insurance, he also held regional management and underwriting positions with St. Paul, and Travelers Insurance where he was regional VP, Ocean Marine. Shepeck earned his degree in Business Administration, majoring in Finance, from University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.

Stockton previously was executive underwriter for The Hartford Insurance Group, where as senior marine sales underwriter he managed a significant book of inland marine, ocean marine and property business. Stockton also worked for the Lockton Companies as an account manager and is a graduate of the University of Kansas.

Liebig has more than 20 years of marine underwriting support experience and will be an underwriting assistant. Previously she worked for Navigators Management Company, and held underwriting support positions with Travelers, Fireman's Fund and William H. McGee & Company.
