The Hanover Selects Exterro Platform
Insurer looks to e-Discovery software suite to advance its legal, IT infrastructure.
Virtual Water Cooler, October 10, 2012
The Hanover Insurance Group has deployed the Fusion platform from Exterro Inc., an e-discovery software company. The suite, which includes Fusion Zeta, will help manage insurer’s e-discovery processes for its U.S.-based business.
Recent Gartner reports point to IT, legal and compliance experts who agree that enterprise data, growing at a rate of 40 to 60 percent annually, must be better managed and minimized. Exterro adds that global enterprises must manage their legal and regulatory discovery demands by minimizing data retention periods and increasing visibility into the entire process.
Exterro says The Hanover has deployed the suite to facilitate legal holds; in-place early case assessment and collections of evidence from multiple data sources, such as Microsoft Exchange, laptops, desktops, enterprise content management systems and proprietary databases; processing, review and production. As part of the plan to access existing custodian data sources and leverage its IT infrastructure, Fusion also has been integrated with The Hanover’s legal, HR, ServiceNow IT asset management and single sign-on systems through the Fusion Integration Hub.
