IAOP Names Members of the Year

March 5, 2008

Poughkeepsie, N.Y., — The International Association of Outsourcing Professionals   (IAOP) honored two of its members at a luncheon ceremony during its annual conference—The 2008 Outsourcing World Summit at Disney’s Contemporary Resort on February 19.

Kurt Kohorst, COP, assistant VP at Safeco Insurance, and Neil Hirshman, a partner at Kirkland & Ellis LLP, were named Members of the Year for their demonstrated commitment to the growth of IAOP and leadership stances in the promotion and delivery of the association’s programs.

Kohorst, co-chair of the newly-formed Pacific Northwest Chapter, serves on IAOP’s Research Committee and The Outsourcing World Summit Program Committee. He is being recognized for his leadership role in developing new member programs—particularly those for IAOP’s customer members, and inspired the highly successful Customer-Only Speed Networking session at the just-completed Outsourcing World Summit.

Hirshman chairs IAOP’s Chicago chapter and, through his firm’s global operations, is playing a key role in IAOP’s expansion in Europe. He also serves on IAOP’s Strategic Advisory Board, the European Advisory Board and The Outsourcing World Summit Program Committee.

Honorees are selected by IAOP's executive team, and presented with the award annually at The Outsourcing World Summit.
