Ruggiero Joins Farmers Insurance as VP, Legislative & Legislative Affairs

Los Angeles — Farmers Insurance Group Inc., announced that Denise Ruggiero has joined Farmers as VP, legislative and regulatory affairs.

“We are very pleased to have Denise join the Farmers family,” says SVP of Farmers Legislative, Legislative, Compliance, Risk Management and Media Relations, Ron Coble. “Denise joins us after 20 years with State Farm Insurance Co. where she served in various claims and legal positions.”

“Denise brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to her new job," Coble continues. "She served as managing attorney in Sacramento for State Farm from 2003 to 2006. There she was responsible for legislative, regulatory and initiative activity in California and 10 western states. Prior to that, she was State Farm Counsel for Texas, and also served as divisional claims superintendent for litigation and auto claims."

Ruggiero is a member of the Texas and California State Bar Associations. She is a certified public account, holds the designation of Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter, a former board member of the St. John’s Shelter for Women and Children, served on the California Chamber Advocate Council, and served as a board member of the California Taxpayers Association and the California Civil Justice Association.
