Zurich Names McCracken, Tocco Executive VPs

New York — Zurich Financial Services, one of the world’s largest property-casualty insurance companies, named Kevin McCracken as executive VP-casualty, and Joseph Tocco as executive VP-property, for the insurer’s Global Corporate in North America unit, effective Jan. 1, 2008.  Both will now report to Paul Horgan, the unit’s newly appointed chief underwriting officer.

McCracken will be responsible for driving the unit’s profitable growth in casualty coverage, including all large casualty accounts, excess workers’ comp and international casualty business written in North America.  He joined Zurich earlier this year as senior VP-casualty, Northeast Region, and leader of the company’s excess workers’ compensation business nationally.  Prior to joining Zurich, McCracken was senior VP of ACE USA’s Mid-Atlantic region

Tocco will be responsible for building profitable growth in property lines, including highly protected risks, global property, boiler and machinery, healthcare and national accounts property segments. Tocco joined Zurich from Munich Re in 1996 as VP and national director of engineered lines, and was appointed senior VP-Northeast Region property manager in 2001.
