Gesick Named Chief Actuary Of PartnerRe

Hamilton, Bermuda — PartnerRe Ltd., a Bermuda-based global reinsurer providing multi-line reinsurance to insurance companies, named Eric Gesick group chief actuary. He was most recently chief actuary within the financial, professional, and international insurance segment of Travelers Cos. Inc.

In his new role, Gesick will have overall responsibility for PartnerRe's actuarial function, heading a team of actuaries that oversee the group's reserving processes, manage capital allocation and implement companywide actuarial models.

Prior to PartnerRe, Gesick was regional VP for Travelers' construction division, and VP of specialty commercial actuarial. Gesick replaces Costas Miranthis, who was promoted to deputy CEO for PartnerRe global in April.
