Arbella Insurance Group Teams with Boston Celtics

Boston – Arbella Insurance Group, a Quincy, Mass., regional provider of property and casualty insurance, hopes to celebrate a winning season with the Boston Celtics basketball team, the carrier announced.

Arbella, a $674M revenue company with over $1B in assets, entered a two-year partnership with the Celtics that’s designed to align the interests of two longstanding Massachusetts companies, most notably, giving Arbella the naming rights to the Celtics Halftime Show on WEEI, the highest-rated sports station in the United States.

"With the recent changes in Massachusetts auto insurance it's more important than ever that consumers become familiar with our name and know that we are as much a home team as the Boston Celtics,” John Donohue, Arabella’s president and CEO said. “We think this partnership will be an effective way to communicate to our audience as we enjoy what looks to be a great season for Celtics fans."

In addition to the naming rights to the Celtics Halftime Show, the marketing deal will entitle Arbella to an exclusive and official team partnership, association rights, DLP courtside signage, consumer and agent year-long promotions, and online visibility during the ’07-08 and ’08-’09 seasons.

Arbella will also be supporting the Celtics Stay in School program, a collaborative effort between the Boston Celtics and in collaboration with New England Sports Museum, and Boston Public Schools. The Stay in School program encourages good attendance and stresses the importance of writing skills.
