HCI and EZ-CAP Ally

Salt Lake City - To help benefit administrators improve payment accuracy and prevent unnecessary losses associated with fraudulent claims, Sandy, Utah-based HealthCare Insight LLC (HCI) formed a strategic alliance with EZ-CAP, the flagship product of Longwood, Fla.-based MZI HealthCare LLC (MZIHC), a provider of health plan administration software.

The alliance offers health care payors a new service designed to detect potential fraud. The combination of EZ-CAP's benefit and claims adjudication software, which provides instant access to data, coupled with HCI's clinical review and fraud analysis services that identify outliers, decreasing overpayments, and detect potential fraud schemes, will help to reduce payors' medical expenses and lower their cost ratios, according to HCI.

"Our alliance with HealthCare Insight complements EZ-CAP's services," says Darryl Low, president of MZIHC. "We will be able to offer our clients a unique interface to identify and prevent healthcare fraud which will make it possible for them to reduce their medical cost ratios, enabling them to be more profitable."
