SHPS and Delta Health Systems Partner

Louisville, Ky. — SHPS Inc., a Louisville, Ky.-based health advocacy and health benefits solutions provider, expanded its partnership with Delta Health Systems, a Stockton, Calif.-based independent third-party administrator (TPA), to offer SHPS' integrated care management solution. The solution is designed to enable TPAs to integrate utilization management, case management, disease management and wellness programs into a seamless medical management experience.

Since early 2006, Delta has offered SHPS' disease management, wellness, nurse line and online decision-support services through Delta Team Care—a program designed to proactively identify and manage health risks. In 2007, Delta Health Systems integrated SHPS' utilization management and case management services into Delta Team Care.

SHPS' integrated care management solution comprises URAC-accredited services that take a personalized approach to inpatient and outpatient review, care coordination and chronic condition management. It leverages a team of staff physicians, specialty physician reviewers and registered nurses. Many SHPS nurses have varying specialties, including oncology, case management, rehabilitation and other key medical fields.
