Standridge Elected to Columbia Insurance Group Board

November 6, 2007


Columbia, Mo. - Steve Standridge was elected to serve on the board of directors for Columbia Mutual Insurance Co. and Columbia Insurance Group Inc. Standridge, who established Steve Standridge Insurance Inc., Mount Ida, Ark., an independent insurance agency in 1982, brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the board.

In 2000, the Professional Insurance Agents of Arkansas named him "Agent of the Year." In 2006, the National Association of Professional Insurance Agents recognized him nationally for his efforts as "Agent of the Year". Standridge also received elite Pinnacle Agency status with Columbia Insurance Group.

The proclamation comes at a time when former board member Gene Wills, an independent insurance agent from Jackson, Mo., announced his retirement. Wills served on the board since 1997.
