Towers Watson Releases New P&C Software

Reserving software is now adapted for evolving regulatory requirements.

Towers Watson, a professional services company, has released ResQ 3.7, an updated version of its ResQ reserving software for P&C insurers. ResQ 3.7 has a concentration on performance and scalability enhancements, and a generalized scripting solution.

Towers Watson says speed has increased by up to 100 times for some activities. ResQ 3.7 also includes a generalized scripting solution in the Enterprise edition, which allows ResQ’s functionality to be extended by the user. ResQ 3.7 also contains several examples of using the new scripting solution, including building customized reports from ResQ directly into Microsoft Excel.

Towers Watson adds that ResQ combines modeling and reserving methods with flexible mechanisms to structure, access and manage data sets. Nearly 300 insurance companies worldwide use the software currently.
