Progressive Insurance announced new mobile capabilities for their network of more than 35,000 independent agents today.
Progressive's agency-dedicated website, ForAgentsOnly.com, is now accessible from tablets, so agents can quote and sell personal passenger auto insurance at their own convenience.
"We'll continue producing technology that helps agencies grow their business and stay better connected with their customers," said Karen Barone, Progressive's agency distribution business leader. "Our agents are busy, on-the-go professionals, and we're finding new ways to break down the barriers to doing business quickly and easily wherever they go.”
The mobile capabilities are now in place for agents using iPads, and according to a press release, Android compatibility should arrive in the next few months, as the company emphasizes its push for mobile technology enhancements.
"We'll continue looking for more ways to enhance our mobile technology offerings to create efficient business processes for agents that help them better manage their workflow demands," said Matt Lehman, Progressive's mobile business leader.
