Patriot National Subsidiary Hires New President

John Rearer will oversee Patriot Underwriters’ managing general agency, program administration and BPO.

Patriot National Insurance Group, a provider of workers’ compensation insurance solutions, has appointed John Rearer as president of its subsidiary, Patriot Underwriters Inc. Rearer was previously Patriot National Insurance Group’s Regional VP for the Western Region.

Patriot National says Rearer joined the group in September 2007. Before joining Patriot National, he was VP at Preferred Employers Group. In his new role, Rearer will oversee Patriot National’s managing general agency, program administration, and business process outsourcing (BPO).

“John has played a key role in growing our western region since he joined the company,” says Steven Mariano, CEO of Patriot National Insurance Group. “His extensive background in sales, underwriting and operations make him ideally suited to lead Patriot Underwriters as it develops into a premier managing general agency.”
