LPL Financial Names CIO

Victor Fetter, previously a VP, CIO at Dell online, brings 22 years of IT industry experience to the broker-dealer.

LPL Financial LLC, a broker-dealer and a wholly owned subsidiary of LPL Financial Holdings Inc., has named Victor Fetter as CIO and managing director of its Business Technology Services (BTS) unit, effective Dec. 17, 2012. Fetter will be based in Charlotte and report to Mark Casady, LPL Financial chairman and CEO. He also will serve as a member of the firm's Executive Management Committee.

LPL says Fetter is a 22-year IT industry veteran and will join LPL Financial from Dell Inc., where he was VP and CIO of Dell online. Prior to his time at Dell, he served as the global CIO at Mercer Human Resources Consulting. At LPL, Fetter will replace Chris Feeney, who has decided to retire after five years of service with LPL Financial and more than 30 years in the financial services technology industry.

Fetter's has delivered personalized digital experiences and end-to-end technology solutions for consumer and commercial customers, says LPL. Fetter also is credited with driving IT efficiency with a focus on increased innovation; delivering scalable infrastructure solutions; and enhancing sales and corporate systems, including the architecture of online, mobile and social commerce capabilities.
