J.D. Power Ranks Insurers on Shopping Experience

The Hartford and Liberty Mutual garner top rankings; study concludes that while there are fewer shoppers overall, they are more likely to shop online and switch auto insurance carriers, and self-service can tip the balance.

The number of consumers shopping for auto insurance has declined, dropping to the lowest point in five years, according to the J.D. Power and Associates “2012 U.S. Insurance Shopping Study.”
