Guy Carpenter Wins “Reinsurance Broking Team of the Year”

New York — Guy Carpenter & Co. LLC, a New York-based global risk and reinsurance specialist, announced today that it has won the “Reinsurance Broking Team of the Year” award at The Review Worldwide Reinsurance Awards 2008. The award, in recognition of the extension of Guy Carpenter’s i-aXs risk management platform for workers’ compensation and life, accident and health business lines, was presented yesterday at The Dorchester Hotel in London.

i-aXs is a Web-based platform that enables clients to quickly convert vast amounts of data into clear, concise information and make faster, better-informed risk management decisions. i-aXs allows insurers to answer questions related to incident- or location-specific “people risks,” and to better manage these risks—both those that they are considering underwriting and those currently in their portfolios.

The judging panel noted that “the creation of i-aXs is another example of Guy Carpenter's ability to respond imaginatively and creatively to clients' needs." The judging panel also commented, “Being able to easily transform data in real time into information and insights that help them manage a portfolio more profitably can only aid today's underwriter.”

Guy Carpenter’s Accident & Health team also was named “Reinsurance Broking Team of the Year” in 2007.

The Review Worldwide Reinsurance Awards, sponsored by The Review magazine, annually recognize the leading performers in the global reinsurance industry.
