GEICO has announced iPad application updates designed to make it easier for customers to conduct business and learn about their policies.

The app's self-service features have been expanded so that customers can now use their iPad to gain access to policy documents, digital ID cards, bill paying and auto claim information.

Other specific features new to the app, according to GEICO, include swipe and explore interaction and data visualization, which enables customers to view their policy information in a new format. The app also received a video feature that enables iPad users to watch how-to videos by NASCAR driver Casey Mears for self-help auto information.

“The iPad has revolutionized and streamlined how consumers conduct their day-to-day business activities,” says Pete Meoli, GEICO mobile development team manager. “With the new iPad GEICO App, we’ve focused on expanding the convenience of the app as well as enhancing our customer experience for the user in a visually inspiring format.”
