Data Backup Found Wanting
Survey finds that only 55% of enterprises confident in their ability to retrieve lost data quickly.

A new survey from managed online backup and recovery solutions provider Backup My Info! finds enterprises unsure of their ability to restore data within hours after a disaster.
The results established that disaster recovery and business continuity are primary reasons organizations backup their critical data. Despite these key drivers, the survey found that only 55% of respondents are confident that their data will be restored completely within hours of a disaster.

The survey, which queried IT professionals at 117 small to medium businesses, also found that 52% of respondents check their backup status daily, while 14% check it weekly and 9% never check it.
