With more than 25 years of disability claims industry experience, Cathy Liston joins Prudential Group Insurance, a business of Prudential Financial Inc., as Chief Operating Officer of Disability. She will be responsible for all disability claims and absence management, including related support functions.
Liston comes to Prudential from Aetna, where she served as VP of disability and leave management. In that role, she led a team of 1,200 associates with national responsibility for Aetna's disability and absence management operations, as well as functional accountability for claims, sales support, customer loyalty, and information technology, Prudential said. Prior to Aetna, Liston had a twenty-year tenure with UNUM, holding roles of increasing responsibility, culminating in her role as vice president of disability benefits, with nation-wide responsibility for multiple disability functions, according to Prudential.
“We’re thrilled to have Cathy join our Disability team,” said Andrew Sullivan, SVP of Disability and Small Market Business, Prudential Group Insurance. “Her deep disability industry knowledge and leadership experience will be tremendous assets to our team.”
