Developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and recognized internationally, the SAS 70 auditor's report is intended to be a comprehensive evaluation of the business processes surrounding the hosting and processing of data. As part of the evaluation of Legal eXchange, mission-critical processes including software change management, customer support, and logical and physical security were each shown to have operational integrity as the result of documented, repeatable procedures that ensure consistent and reliable performance. Now a SAS 70-audited solution, Legal eXchange also is hosted in a SAS 70-audited data center, providing users with a further measure of data assurance.
"Within the legal spend management market, we believe that insurers and in-house corporate legal departments should expect operational and data safeguards that extend beyond the confines of the data center, which is why we decided to undertake a SAS 70 audit of Legal eXchange," says Tom Gaillard, SVP and GM of Bottomline Technologies. "Our successful completion of this audit further demonstrates Bottomline's singular commitment to providing our clients with the rigorous operational controls today's complex business environment demands."

ENTERPRISE RISK MANAGEMENT SOLUTION
Wilmington, Del.-based Aline has released an enterprise risk management (ERM) solution that is targeted to meet the increasing demands for transparency and oversight from boards of directors, regulators and rating agencies.
The Fastrack ERM solution includes a "common practices" risk library, risk management methodology, Aline enabling technology and mentoring services. Fastrack promises transformation of an organization's risk management process to a repeatable level based on the Open Compliance & Ethics Group (OCEG) Risk Maturity Model in less than four weeks, while establishing the foundation for ongoing improvements, the company says.
Aline, also maker of a GRC platform, positions the ERM solution within its new strategic suite. At the heart of all of the company's solutions is Aline Framework, a unified enterprise map that aligns all of the siloed information about people, processes, systems and more in a single repository. This provides full visibility and sophisticated analyses in real time, the company says.
"Aline ERM was developed in order to harness a company's existing risk management efforts, and transform them into a reliable and consistent process that is also fully integrated and holistic, as well as visible and verifiable," says Roland Mosimann, CEO of Aline.
SECURE CONTENT DELIVERY ACROSS THE ENTERPRISE
Informative Graphics Corp., a Scottsdale, Ariz.-based provider of viewing, annotation and redaction technology, released its latest Brava software suite for multi-format viewing, annotation and secure content delivery. Brava provides a simple, unified viewing and annotation interface for all formats, making review processes and workflows easy. New features include enhanced redaction capabilities that, combined with existing features like Visual Rights, offer persistent file security.
Additional capabilities include the ability to intelligently redact privacy information, verify or review redactions before finalizing them for final distribution and perform 'peek through' redaction, in which a large area (e.g., a page) is redacted with only a small area remaining unredacted. Redacted files can be output to TIFF, PDF or Informative Graphics' secure Content Sealed Format (CSF) such as Visual Rights. Visual Rights allow users to add additional file security, such as password protection and expiration date, as well as restrictions for print, copy, markup and other features. These capabilities help organizations achieve regulatory compliance, and reduce liability by making it easier to protect privacy information and confidential content, the company says.
