Acrobat Connect enables users to choose a Web address for their online personal meeting room, with unlimited use for up to 15 participants for one monthly fee.

SETTLEMENTROOM ADOPTS RPOST'S E-MAIL SERVICE

Agents and brokers who rely on marked up faxes to negotiate deals now have an easier, more secure, legally binding-and paperless-alternative. RPost and SettlementRoom have agreed to embed Los Angeles-based RPost's Registered E-mail service in the SettlementRoom listing and transaction management platform. The combination gives the 80,000 SettlementRoom registered users the ability to track, record and verify the content of their e-mail messages. Agents, brokers, title companies, lenders and builders can conduct business by e-mail and retain a verifiable and legally valid registered e-mail record of their correspondence. According to Zafar Khan, CEO of RPost: "Once people start using e-mail for serious negotiations and confirmations-which most of us do even without realizing it-it's just a matter of time before one ends up in a dispute about the content of an important e-mail, or whether or not the email was ever sent at all."

SECURE AUTHENTICATION

BioPassword Inc., an Issaquah, Wash., provider of secure authentication and anti-fraud solutions to financial services companies, will partner with NAFCU Services Corp., Arlington, Va., to offer BioPassword's two-factor authentication solution.

The solution, based on the behavioral biometric of keystroke dynamics, is designed to ensure strong authentication and compliance with federal regulations. The software is transparent to users as it authenticates individuals based on their typing rhythm and does not disrupt their usual login process. Using BioPassword to monitor and authenticate users, organizations can implement secure access, comply with regulatory requirements and reduce the risks of fraud.
