WESTFIELDS ARC: MEANINGFUL INSIGHTS THROUGH BI AND ANALYTICS
Ohio-based Westfield Insurance is a top 50 P&C insurer in the U.S. and a top 10 supplier of farm insurance. With more than 2,200 employees and a network of over 1,000 independent agents, it holds $1.6 billion in written premiums. Executive support for a business intelligence and analytics program that began in 2007, resulted in the creation of Westfield’s Analytics Resource Center (ARC). The ARC notched early success with “My BI”, a tool that provides a single, enterprise-wide source for key performance metrics that can be customized to each individual’s needs. Analytic firepower has also been focused on supporting business initiatives across the organization including claims transformation, agency segmentation, customer insight and enterprise-wide performance management.
