Since its inception five years ago, Insurance Networking News’ presentation of the most influential women in insurance has profiled the extraordinary accomplishments of 42 individuals whose pursuit of excellence, leadership and professional performance has fostered influence that is redefining the insurance business and technology industry landscape.

INN’s 2011 Women in Insurance Leadership program will again recognize 10 more of these women. INN will reveal how they arrived at their respective leadership positions. How do they prepare for and manage through difficult change? How do they innovate? How do they identify new market opportunities that fulfill the financial objectives of their institutions? Finally, how do they mentor future leaders, and reach beyond the walls of their institutions to serve the community at large?

This year’s program will include a ranking methodology determined by examining the quantitative and qualitative aspects of an individual's performance, and overall influence on the institution, the industry and the community in which she lives and works. The judges of this year’s program will also rank the candidate’s performance based on job complexity, contribution to the institution's top and bottom lines, brand equity/shareholder value creation, corporate governance and ethics, management style and education and on her level of community involvement.

This year’s primary judges were all named an INN “Women in Insurance Leadership” last year and bring a wealth of knowledge, wisdom and experience to their roles.

The top six Honorees, along with four Notable Achievers, will be featured in a special report published with our September/October 2011 print issue. Winners will be formally recognized at the fourth annual Women in Insurance Leadership Forum on Sept. 18-19, 2011, in National Harbor, Md. The event will take place in conjunction with the IASA Executive Edge conference. For more information on the event, click here.
